How to learn VB (or even C#) for GHp?

I am not a programmer or even media designer - I am only an architect. What is a best (simplest) way to learn VB for me?

I would start with the Grasshopper primer, second edition. The second half includes a full review of VB.NET, GH scripting component and the geometry functionality of the Rhino DotNet SDK.
