How to divide a curved surface in equidistant points?

Hi there!

I am trying to divide a complex curved surface in equidistant points. I tried using "divide surface" but the points accumulate on the poles. Like in this simple sphere for example:

I tried using "populate geometry", the only problem is that the pattern is random and the distance between the points varies:

Do you know how can I organize the pattern and have all the points at the same distance between them?
Or any another way to make an equidistant grid of points on the curved surface?

Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed, thank you so much!

Sacado de aquí, para la esfera:

Quizás tu mejor solución para otras superficies sería usar MeshMachine o Kangaroo para unificar o regular una malla, los vértices de la malla.

Gracias Daniel.
No consigo aplicarlo a la superficie:

Se te ocurre alguna solución?

how to place equidistance points on surface ? below is the similar example.
