How to build a pipe (not only a surface - a volume) in GH?! - is this code correct?

Hi :),

I'm a new Grasshopper-User and the problem I have, might be very easy to solve :P

I want to build a pipe witch is not only a surface. It should be a volume so I can use the STL to print it on the 3D-Printer.

I have written a code and it works but the two caps of the pipe are also still there.
So the volume pipe is closed by a ground and a top.

I have attached my "code" and a picture of my result (Number 1) and the result witch I wanted to have (Number 2) in Rhino3D.
Is this "code" correct?
Is there a possibility to create a volume pipe without the caps?

Indeed it is possible to turn them off in GH, but when I bake the "code" then they are still exciting in Rhino3D and I don't know if the 3D-Printer is able to ignore the caps and create an open pipe.

Thanks a lot :)

Neither Rhino nor Grasshopper have any volumetric geometry types. The best you can get is a closed mesh, surface, or polysurface (brep). If a shape is closed, then Rhino can measure it's volume, but it's still just a collection of surface objects.

Do note that Grasshopper uses very coarse preview meshes by default. Seams will not be stitched in order to speed up preview mesh creation. You can improve the preview mesh quality from the toolbar:

This is very strange...  Yet another DUPLICATE THREAD - same title, even a duplicate post:

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/how-to-build-a-pipe-not-o...

And David's solution is virtually identical to what I posted in that thread almost a week ago (the first one of two methods offered):

Jonas, did you not see the code I posted?  (attached again here)

And can you please find a better way to get screen shots?  Looks like you are using a camera that produces HUGE blurry images?
