algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys

First of all many thanks for Mostapha and Chris for the software and tutorials, just invaluable. I am in the process of my master thesis and I am analyzing the relation between envelope design, glazing to wall ratio, shading(and visual) control AND thermal comfort. I just started using honeybee but I already had some experience in E+.

I want to integrate energy and daylight into one script using honeybee but I have a problem. I don't know if daylight engine in honeybee takes into consideration some wall thickness and window position in the wall (depth of the window).

1) If it does then how can I adjust it without constantly changing my model in rhino?

2) How should I build the model in rhino to be able to run both daylight (with depth of the wall) and energy simulation? Should it have two different surfaces in the same place - one for E+ as an external wall and one for daylight with an internal wall material assigned to it?

Thanks in advance
