Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, i need some advice about making a spaceframe under a facated surface

Hello people, let me just start with the fact that I'm new to grasshopper and I don't know where else to refer to I hope you guys can help me a bit. Any advice is very much appreciated.

I am trying to create a space frame under this faceted surface which was exported from Revit to Rhino (attachment)

So far I have made a grasshopper code (i tried to explain it a bit in the component group names) which would set up a space frame under a brep and thought to go surface by surface to create a frame.

Unfortunately, that does not work very well because when I set even the smallest of the surfaces in the brep component it takes +5mins of "not responding" style running of grasshopper. And even after it has generated it is very laggy to pan around and do anything. Is it a problem maybe with the scale of the surfaces or something?

I would highly appreciate some input into how to go about setting up the space frame under the surfaces. The logic on how to approach it is just eluding me.
