algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hexagonal pattern cut out of flat surface

Hello guys!

I am new to Grasshopper and I was trying to create a hexagonal grid wich was trimmed with a rectangle. I was looking at a tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyNaLHUDo4Q ) but when the actual trimming happens it doesn't work anymore. I also think it is a problem with the different versions of grasshopper because some things have changed apparently.

Can you help me please?

Hi 

Is there a way to make the pattern solid? Can you extrude it somehow? The bounding boxes are volumes but the pattern/grid just becomes a surface. Would it be possible to make intersections between the volumetric grid and some circles?

I managed to extrude the pattern and now I am trying to figure out the spherical intersections
