Help to perforate a triangulation

Hi all,

I would appreciate some help on how I could create this parametric form using grasshopper. I'm in need to solve this pattern ASAP for a class.

What I'm really interested in is how to do that effect of increasing and decreasing the openings in between the triangulation. Thanks :)

By example, using WeaverBird:

I dont know how you want to control the increasing and decreasing of openings, so this is just random.

Thanks for your reply, you're right, its not the opening and closing but more the thickness of the triangulation. This is a great example, but I'm still quite new to grasshopper and rhino, so I'll try to download weaverbird and see how I can learn from your example.
