Hi Resso,
the OLD tag means there is a newer version of the component available. The one that is currently available on the Tab will be slightly different. You don't actually have to do anything, OLD components work just as before.
Some components that have been marked OLD can be automatically replaced, have a look at the Solution->Upgrade Legacy Components menu item, if it's not grey, you can update your components there:
If you don't want to see the OLD overlay but also don't want to upgrade your components, you can disable the OLD overlay in the Preferences:

Hi Resso,
trying to find the less slopy area on one surface
this is a bit under-defined. What you could do is place a lot of points on the surface, then measure for each point the surface normal vector and remove all points that are too steep. Or maybe remove the 90% steepest points. You could also choose to convert your surface into a mesh, and then remove all the steep faces. It depends on what sort of result you're looking for. Can you be more specific?
