HELP please! Magnetic displacement of irregular point grid

Hey!

i got a question about magnetic (or similar) displacement- i ve already found the script by daniel piker- but as i see it it works with a regular grid.
i d like to use it for a grid that is already existing. i tried to configure the script in that way but didnt even get close to a solution.- maybe cause i dont really understand how his script works i guess.
Anyone got an idea how to modify it- or any other tips or useful tutorials?
