Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to amplify an image sampler file to a double curved surface. It works fine on a planar surface and on a surface lofted with a straight line and one curve, but when it goes to two curves it only seems to reference points horizontally. It also doesn't seem to be mapping the normal vectors properly.

I have attached the rhino file and the grasshopper definition.
If someone could help me that would be great!

Thanks,

Gabby

This is the example from the planar surface that worked.

Hi Gabby,

Not sure if you're using the latest WIP of GH it should be v0.6.0059 get it from here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/grasshopper-060059-available as there was an obsolete component being used the Divide has become SDivide and works differently now with output data structure.

I had to create a different surface to get it to work in order to orientate it correctly and the last thing I did was to flatten the input to the SrfGrid.

Also if you haven't already done so switch on View>Draw Fancy Wires as this will help you see the data structures more easily [Single wire > single data, Double wire > multiple data single branch, Dashed wire > Multi data Multi branch]
Hi Danny,

Sorry for the delayed reply, got carried away finishing the assignment! Thank you so much for your help (and the prompt reply) its very much appreciated!
