Grasshopper fabrication issue

Hi there, I am currently working on a project whereby we are attempting to slice a bench for fabrication. We initially tried to slice a sphere and it was successful laying out the pieces onto planes. However, it seems like grasshopper for some reason with the bench tends to fill in our slice-plane with excessive pieces. Also, the section-cuts are not aligned with the planes and are offset, I have tried to look into this but cant seem to get the pieces on the plane.

The main problem i seem to be facing is to do with missing components on the slice-plane. The bench is sliced simply with a waffle-method, however on the plane i only seem to get two component sets even though there are several more.

I've been going through everything and trying to change the settings by changing the list lengths of the nodes and can't seem to make it work.
