Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everybody,

as I am currently writing my Bachelorthesis in the field of naval architecture, I was wondering if there is an abstract about how Grasshopper works? I just need a short introduction text but the only description I found was on the "Home" Page of Grasshopper:

For designers who are exploring new shapes using generative algorithms, Grasshopper® is a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3-D modeling tools. Unlike RhinoScript, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring.

Is there a more explicit approach?

Cheers and thanks a lot,

H

PS.: I am actually looking for the same thing for Rhinoceros.
