Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all!

Before all the explanation, thanks to all of you that try to help me :) .

Now... Time to work... I have an important problem for me and my future goals... I'm trying to make a plugin with C# that implements a Kinect Visualizer in Grasshopper.

I use the Grasshopper plugin dll's and the Kinect for Windows SDK. The problem is that I don't know how to do a method o procedure that shows the video image of the kinect on grasshopper "in live"... I mean... I make a plugin like is usual and I can see a "box" that recieve params and send other params... All I want to do now is another "box" that recieve, for example, the Kinect connection and on that "box" I see the video image from the Kinect, in live or "streaming".

Can someone, please, tell me some way to do it or to start with it? The first problem is that I don't know how to do a "box" that is not like the "normal box" for Grasshopper plugin, I saw in some plugins that they show a Kinect image in that "especial box", so it is possible to do, but I don't know how to do it or how to start with it...

Thanks a lot, i'm a bit desperate and I need some help with it...

(sorry for my poor english)

Hi Kevin,

Did you try firefly? http://fireflyexperiments.com/

Andy Payne has already made a couple of components to work with Kinect.

Yes, I try it, it's a great plugin, but I want and need to do something like firefly, not to use another plugin, because I want to show another type of image on my plugin, not the "normal" image that kinect give to us.

This is the reason because I want to do my own plugin and I cannot use firefly or another, and I just need any idea to make my "kinect box" and show a "special image".

Any ideas or help?

Thank you very much for your answer! :)

Anyone have any idea, please? I need help :(
