Gradient Grid/Panelling

Hello,

I have a double curved surface that I wish to panel with triangular panels that become larger towards one end of the surface. So far I've been trying to manipulate the grid using curve and point attractors but that doesn't create an even gradient across the surface.

Can I achieve this by either manipulating the grid or the way it's panelled?

Any help would be appreciated!
