Giving curves a thickness

I'm a new grasshopper user and I need some help figuring out how to create a solid object out of a complex curve structure.  Essentially I'm trying to create something like the Milan Trade Fair by Fuksas --> http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3293/2624718334_50dd0f6f08.jpg

I have the faceted surface but its only drawn in lines and now I need to take the next step and create panels and mullions with thicknesses. It would be great to get some feedback!
