Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

I`ve found this video in youtube and it`s really interesting, I`ve already looked for some Gill Surfaces files but none of them was that complex... Does anyone knows or had some idea of how can I achieve this ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2k8TBrPn3Wg

The idea I had for my university assignment it`s to use this kind of surface as a facade for a building in a really complicated acoustic area (close to dance clubs and pubs) so as one of the solutions I had was to develop a curvature in the balcony that blocks parts of the incoming sound from the street, but them it`s came to it natural form since the impact of the highest levels aren`t the same from the firsts ones....

See attached the diferences of the balconys parapet forms and their advantages...

I hope to hear from anyone !
Cheers

Hi Rodolfo,

You can replicate the effect seen on that youtube video with this definition:
http://formularch.blogspot.com/2012/11/gh-surface-ribbons.html

Rotation source from upper definition would in case of this youtube video be a single point, with an variable Y coordinate (using the slider to change that Y coordinate).

I`ve done the Gill Srf definition How can I get this pull effect ?!
It`s driving me nuts... Im Just lost at how to creat this force !

Please someone help me !
