geometries overlap

Hi, Ive been stuck with this problem for a while..

Is there a way to eliminate geometries that overlap with each other.. Lets say eliminate one of the overlaping objects to leave a cleaner overall set of geometries?? In this definition I created two diferent sets of tessellations through separate lofts but some of the geometries overlap. Any solutions??
