Generating Street Network using GH

Hi all,

I'm trying to develop a workflow for generating a street layout from road centerlines at an urban design scale and I'm running into some trouble with the "shatter" command 

So far I've been able to generate variable offsets based on road type and find their intersection points, but I haven't been able to successfully use those points to split the offset lines into different segements in order to rejoin them into blocks. 

My attempts thus far have been trying to shatter the offset lines using the intersection points as the parameter, but I end up just generating duplicate lines from the original offsets.
