Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Grasshopper3d! I am a student at the University of Tennessee studying architecture. I have always been fascinated by Grasshopper but never had time to learn it. Alas, the time is now!

I want to use it for a logo I am designing. I want to generate a series of points from a basic strange attractor equation. I have found a pre-made script but it is not giving me the composition I want and not helping me learn the software.

The equation is as follows:

x=sin(y*b)+c*sin(x*b)
y=sin(x*a)+d*sin(y*a)

where a & b are between -3.0 and 3.0
and c & d are between -0.5 and 1.5

I have figured out basic equations that do not have both an x and y variable (such as definition of a circle) but I am lost once I step up to a more complex equation.

Can anyone help shed some light on how I might go about doing this?

Thanks for any help and have a great weekend!
