Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello guys, i was wondering - since there are so many grasshopper experts out there and i have a hard time with ... well, logical thinking, i guess. i am a design student and i never used rhino or grasshopper before. so i have been trying to understand how it's working, looking at tons of tutorials but it's still hard for me to combine the things i learned. i feel lost at this point.

so, the thing is - i would like to generate a 2 dimensional shape (either a simple ornament or a pattern/tiling) from the data of someone who has died –– so it should turn out as a kind of symbol for that person. it doesn't have to be anything complicated or too crazy. the only important thing is - the result has to differ each time the input numbers are changed. so the shape turns out individually for different people.

i was thinking of using numbers such as: lifespan (years/months/weeks/days -> maybe make a grid from it that is the base for some kind of shape?) and somehow combine it with the number of the bereaved (maybe using attractors influencing the shapes in the grid?). maybe it's possible to include the dates of birth and death too, maybe even the name – but i didn't find a way that makes sense yet.

i am still open to other solutions. oh my, this is very abstract, i know, but i was hoping that maybe someone has some input/idea/inspiration for me! I'd be totally grateful!

I grok your steam of consciousness outreach, but what we used to call "burn outs" (overly dedicated marijuana users and mostly abusers) and later called "slackers," we now blanket refer to as "Millenials," but you my man are a Joyceian Machiavellian Uberman of shitlord trolling, unawares and thus genius.

You are convinced the world is bullshit so you will be a bigger bullshitter to sell the world's oldest custom commodity: grave stones, but with astrology crap carved in them instead of loving sentiment.

It's a great idea in search of a soul.

The best "two dimensional shape" encompassing an RIP loved one would be a portrait.
