GA on Surface Panelization

Hi All,

Canvassing for ideas and directions before starting a fabrication project. The project is a non-uniform egg-shaped geometry that needs to be panelized into quad grids for shipping and fabrication. 

The curve network should be something that can be iterated through several revisions as several other people are also working on this project. Another thought is that this might be a fun project to use galapagos to explore the options, given the constraints of panel sizing. (2.1m, max)

This is the first time I'll be tackling such a project and would really appreciate if anyone might share their experience or point me in a direction to look. Much thanks to everyone in advance!
