folding plate structure

I am a relative beginner at Grasshopper and was following the tutorial given  at http://wa11ace.com.au/tutorials/folded-plate-structure/ where I was trying to create a folded plate structure using a diagrid.  The issue came when I was trying to link the two parts of the tutorial- and the issues I am coming across is something a beginner like me can not get my head around!

I would be very thankful if you could iron out some of the kinks I have in my file. The tutorial is great but just with a few issues at the end!
