Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, friends i have been interested into fluid simulations .. can anyone suggest me best possible ways to achieve forms of fluid.. without any extra software , a plugin will be very helpful..

Hi Shridhar,

What kind of fluid simulations? Just an aesthetic ones, or real Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations?
If you choose the first ones, then you better try using Maya. Here are Maya Fluid tutorials.

As for the second option, Grasshopper currently supports the 2d CFD simulations using it's GoldFish plugin.

If you are looking for a 3d results, you might try using some professional software in that domain: Ansys, Solid Works, NX...

Thanks a lot Djordje . well its for Architecture purpouse..

this is going to b fun..!!

Get the RealFlow (Stand-alone) software, do a simulation, import the simulation to Rhino 4 using RealFlow importer. This only works with Rhino 4.

I think it's possible to do fluid simulations with free software, without going too crazy on the physics. I've outlined one possible workflow here:
