Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, im working with a  topography in a mesh, i have a surface that gets close to it, but the mesh is the most accurate.

I  want to find the most confortable paths from point A lets say on top of it to point B on the lower point of it. I  was trying some solutions that  i found in this blog but no one seems to work.

i attached a picture of the problem, and an example of a solution (paths in blue)

thanks a lot!

I see that finally you got it > bravo. And the "trimming" mesh did the job eh?

Other than that ... by "comfortable":you mean that you want a geodesic path? If yes you need to go back to the Future: a nurbs out of the mesh (doable with a variety of ways).

Or you mean that you want to design a road (with all the usual restrictions: slope etc) between A-B? If so ... this is NOT a task for a novice by any means (better skip that, he he) not to mention that there's dedicated apps that do that for you (Bentley Systems InRoads is the best).

See this classic as well (requires Anemone)
