Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm new in grasshopper and I'm trying to substract some spheres, that are reducing as they move away from the center of some concentric ellipseis, from a surface that i have extruded it. I used the sdiff command but when I run it, it seems that it can not substract the spheres.

Please help :)

What does "it can not Subtract" mean ??? is it crashing ??? or the difference is  unexpected ??

I tried a small version of yours and observed that its a heavy operation.

Thank you for your reply, the difference is unexpected...it keeps only some spheres...
I tried with fewer spheres but nothing happened either...
In your example the surface seems solid,my surface is extruded so I have to see holes with the sdiff command...
I don't know if the problem is with the geometry of my surface though...

I made a similar profile and revolved to make that surface and capped it to make a solid try this method. i would also suggest u to try ("MeshBrep" to make ur srf a mesh and use mesh spheres to subtract. meshes are comparatively fast "

I'll try it tright now and I let you know!

Thx

Nothing...Why the brep is empty?
