Exploring a natural process of a precedent project

Hi Forum!

I'm recently looking for natural processes to breakdown. I'm very interested in the geological morphology(sort of formation of geo sedimentary), such as the project Yinchuan's Museum here, which is using parametric method. 

In terms of the way to do it in gh, what definition and parameters would that be, to generate such creases skin.  (I'm imagining using google map/or contour CAD map to find the form?? not sure)

or technically what the parametric logics behind this form
