Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, I'm trying to do something that seems very simple but can't figure it out... I first create a mesh with a preset distance between the points, and then I need to select a percentage of that total of points, but in an even manner. I've been trying with random reduce and cullN but neither works out what I'm looking for. I simply want to select a quantity of points out of the total in an even distribution. It's like I would like to control de "randomness" of the selection, so that it is evenly distributed and not so randomly.

I think it would be the same to say that from a "M" list of points I need to select "N" points (M greater than N) and those N points need to be at the farthest distance between each other.

Thanks

not sure if i get right but have u tried populate 2d/3d?

Sorry ! I forgot to explain that what I need is to have a preset distance between the points. That's why I first create a mesh with a preset distance between the points, and then I need to select a percentage of that total of points, but in an even manner. If I use populate, that distance would not be obeyed.
