evaluate surface normal troubles...

For the life of me I can't figure out why this EvalSrf component returns such weird values for my surface. I can only think something is strange with the geometry I've passed it, but I've no idea what...

I've attached a screenshot of the GH "code" and the resulting normals. Any help is much appreciated!
