Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone.

I'm doing the energy simulation of a room with the "runEnergySimulation" in order to get the optimum wall/window ratio.

The inputs are the epw. file, and a room with a changing glazing ratio as HBZone. The outputs are the Total Thermal Energy and the electric light, both of them normed by floor area.

However the problem is that the Total Thermal Energy is more than 10 times bigger than the Electric one, and that means that when the ratio of the window is changed, the changes in the output values are insignificant. In fact from the simulation, the "optimum" wall/window ratio would be the situation where there is no window because the increase in electric lightning is insignificant compared with the thermal energy increase when the ratio increases.

However this result does not make sens.

Is it normal? If not, how can I do to have some reasonable results?

Thank you very much.
