Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

As far as I know, an EMERGENT system is formed by the following parts:
-Components with local behaviour.
-Changing enviroment.
-Non linear feedback which turns into adaptation to that enviroment.
In other words, we can see an intelligent conduct in this system.

Parametric, comes from a familly of finite parameters. But it´s not necessarily intelligent, nor adaptative. It´s more like a morphologic outcome. (Am I right?)

And finally, my biggest doubt.
When we say generative, I guess we are talking about a GENERATION of a genome, which has some rules, and repeats an iteration several times, having a whole new shape as a result. But does it have to be adaptative or intelligent? Or it´s more like a parametric-morphologic way to design things? And also, does it need to be related with the enviroment? or not necesarilly?

Thank´s!
