Dynasets not supported by ODBC driver?

When I work with larger file sizes on my Uni's rigs sometimes I get the error "Dynasets not supported by ODBC driver." and everything bogs down beyond belief, to the point where clicking on anything (with the preview off) is enough to make GH go non-responsive. Anybody have any ideas?
