Double Helix with circles on point

Hi I am trying to create a double Helix described by points. Then I am Creating circles at each point, where each circle normal points to the center of the Helix.

Now I want to make every circle from both Helix to align, so when I extrude one circle it will pass through the other circle. 

The final goal of this design is to create four helix, two pairs of double helix. Each pair will be out of phase so they can create a cilinder.

Then I want to use this circles to create cuts through a cilinder 

Does this makes sence?
