Dividing curves by distance and amount

Hi,

I have a definition where I am subdividing a curve into equal distance points. I would like the segments to approximate the entire length of the curve [end point to end point] as closely as possible. Right now I am doing this by checking the distance between the last segment point and the end point of the base curve and making sure it is within a certain tolerance. I can find valid solutions by changing the MaximumPanelWidth slider.

Is there a way to solve this such that a slider would only toggle through valid solutions?
