algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,
In the following example, I created a circle surface using planar surf component and divided by div interval 2 component, but it makes square and divide it instead and couldn't find the boundary of circle . Is there any one who knows why and what is the solution to make it work?

i'm no pro
but when create a planar surface your actually creating a trimmed surface
and when u divide it gh calculates and displays the untrimmed region when it divides
in my amateur opinion what you could do is use a trim to region component to keep teh circle and find some
way to cull the points inside the region and if u want the points on the edge of your circle divide the curve
you used to generate it...
thats how i would do it
i hope some one else has a better scoop.

regards.
hi Bobby
i will try it. thanks for reply
Maysam,

it's not clear as to what you are trying to achieve in terms of 'dividing a simple round surface' - I though the question was already solved in this thread.
hi Dirk
thanks for reply.

I’m trying to trim a surface with my straight line from the middle like section. I have designed a triangulated skin structure and I want to cut a section through the skin. But those definitions cannot help me to introduce the section line or trim line. So I decided to test those definitions in a simple round surface, but still didn’t work.
thanks
Did you want to post an image of what you are trying to achieve (using manual rhino modelling) - would be much easier to understand your rules.

here is the same definition , but it is not working with a simple round surface
thanks
