Distribute a certain ammount of "numbers" to lots according to a gradient

Hello,

In my project I am trying to masterplan a city. I managed to get a gradient representing the densities and i would now like to make it more informative than just visual.

I would like to distribute 50000 homes over the plots according to the gradient I have set. This should only be as information; in the same way that I have marked the area values of each plot I would like under the area to say i.e. 78 homes go on this plot.

It would be great if someone could help, I am still not very good with domains... (if that's what is needed :/ )

Another question: is it possible to add text after the area value, where I distributed them? i.e. say m2 after the number.

I hope all is clear in the explanation. If not please let me know (pretty tired).
