algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi! I m working on finding slope length and slope angle on a surface. I evaluated the surface on the mid point and deconstructed both: normal vector and points. Theoretically shouldn't both the Z values correspond to each otherl, if I remap one within the domain of the other. But it doesn't happen that ways. So I want to know which value correspond to the true elevation of the surface. Refer image.

A vector has no position. You can thinking of him as a point only if from the center of the world you trace to those coordinates. Then as the surface normal vector is normalized (length = 1), the coordinates are very close to the center of the world (values of 0.9~). The vector gives you a direction, length.. but not a position.

Understood thanks. Although I am having difficulty finding slope length for the various divided surfaces. Any help would be appreciated.
