Did you happen to see this yesterday?  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/cull-pattern-list-error?c...

The trouble with your model, though, (for my code above and for LunchBox 'Diamond') is that you have a collection of surfaces, not just one surface.  Maybe those surfaces can be re-constructed as a single surface?

i have created that surface in ptc creo as a single surface using boundary blend with the help of guide curves.but when i export that to stp/igs and then to rhino i cant select that as a single surface. i tried joining(polysurface) but issue remains.i actually need that diamond pattern over the entire surface as that of the coffe maker having(image attachment)

This code has your surface segments internalized. It does a Brep 'Join', then contours the result and lofts the contours with the edges to recreate the shape as a single surface. Close but not identical! More contours gets closer...

thanks for the help Joseph oster. Can i export the output surface to stp/igs without loosing the pattern details?

That's a question you can answer for yourself, as easily as I can.

Have you noticed the irregularity in the pattern at the seam?

yup i saw, that can be manually patched ryt..also that section is not curvy
