Diagrid Via Points From Floor to Floor Contour

Hi all, I am trying to populate this facade with a dia-grid pattern. I originally made the form by making this shape out of many poly-surfaces.

1) my initial idea was to take the form and contour it

2) Then take those contours and divide into a point grid

3) create triangular or square faces via points from floor to floor contour

4) go from there and add more complexity  i.e. diagrid members and floor plates


as you can see I have the initial triangle panel, but I can't seem to get it to work on every floor and cannot get it to work with any other direction.

any help would be great, this due date is coming up soon thanks!
