algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Dear GH users,
I am working on a diagrid weave. I broke the definition down to the basic essentials. I have ribbons creating a diagrid along a custom surface. At each ribbon intersection I called out the points. To create the weave I I created a vector at the center of each intersection pointing perpendicular to the surface at each intersection. I am working on moving the points along the vector with alternating vector lengths then reconnecting the lines and two source sweeping a profile along them to create the slatted weave. One of the biggest challenges to what
I am doing is keeping the data in the correct sets and matching the vector and point sets together.
The attached image is something I made in Rhino by hand but with a higher density diagrid it will be a very bug challenge to knock this out by hand so I turn to Grasshopper once again to see what I can find out.
Another challenge is the two source sweep. I would like to keep the profile perpendicular to the base surface though its sweep. This was a challenge in Rhino when I was doing this by and and assume it will become a challenge in Grasshopper as well.
As always, any help will be much appreciated.
Sosa.
