DEFORMING A MESH

Hi everybody! I've a problem! I'm trying to model a solid by several points that I want control. Anyway, I saw a method that I think to be effective but I don't understand why I've problems to control that deformation! 

I've tried with several methods like satellite or bouncers but I can't control these point with precision. I want these points into a specific area for deforming my mesh in 3 dimension.
