Totally random question.

Why is purple the default group color?  Do you like purple?  Did you write a script that generated a randomlolcat which you used to create a heightfield to generate a random point on the image that you sampled for the color?  I like purple.  I'm just curious and tired of working so I though I'd take a break and ask this super relevant and important color question.
