Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

I am more than new to GH, I am an ultimate beginner. I am a structural engineer and I have an autocad piling layout and I need to write down the pile coordinates.

I have opened the drawing in rhino, converted to grasshopper and have a panel listing all my coordinates.

In the gh file below you will see what i mean

However now I need to retrieve the data from this panel into and excel spreadsheet, if I just copy the data it copies all the entries into one column of the spreadsheet,

is there any way of splitting the x-y coordinates in the panel, this would save sooo much time.

Thanks

Ruben

When I first read this I thought you meant the Serial Date Code that Excel uses.... See title

There are a few Spreadsheet writers available from Third-party plug-ins one of which is gHowl follow the installation instructions carefully especial with making sure you have the OpenXML installation.

If you don't want to use a plugin you can do something like this to format the panel content so that you can import it in Excel as a CSV file. In this case I use the semicolon character to tell Excel how to separate each column.
