Custom Preview - Color for edge different from face?

I found the Create Material and Custom Preview components - is there a way to set the edges as a different color than the faces?

For example to set boxes to a certain color (white, red, orange) but have black edge without baking objects, for graphic clarity? Like a "toon material" in Vray, or a hidden line view with shaded surfaces (see example image). I only see settings for surfaces in the Create Material component, and the edges just pick up that color.

This is something rhino lets you set in your display mode settings but I cannot find in grasshopper?

You can use something like I posted here. You just dynamically bake the latest result of Grasshopper to a Rhino layer, when Grasshopper recalculates it overwrites what's there. That way you can use any of the Rhino shading modes as Grasshopper preview. You could then also easily make a switch in Grasshopper to be able to switch between the Rhino layer and custom preview.

Awesome thank you this was perfect.

The Grasshopper1 preview options are very limited. There's no control at all over wire thickness or colour.
