Hi Saimon,

 

is there a question? IsoCurves span the entire trimmed portion of any surface, so they are not well suited for making grid cells.

 

There's a Map To Surface component which takes a curve and moves the control-points from one surface to another one. This allows you to create a grid of any shape you like on a flat plane, then deform it onto a complicated surface.
