Creating the extrusion according to the distance to the points?

Hi everyone,

I have a idea of creating the extrusion of a surface pattern to the different attracking points which there would be two of them on both sides. And the direction of extrusion would be depending on the distance to the attractor. I tried to use the 'larger than' and 'smaller than' command but it did not filter the result as I desired. Could anyone help me with that?

And I tend to create extrusion over hexagonal structure, hence am i supposed to use distance between points as a standard filter? how do i go back to select hexagon curve after the filtering? or I should use the mid-point on the edges?

Really appreciate ur help!...
