Creating parametric insole

Hi!

I am on a mission to create a parametric insole.  This is how it should work:

1. Key values are typed into an excel spreadsheet

2. Insole is generated

My idea is to work backwards from a network surface, so this is my thinking:

1. Establish topo curves from the excel sheet

2. Use these curves to create a network of curves

3.  Take some points of the 2D network and move then to create the varied surface of the insole.

Here are my questions:

Is this the best approach?

How can I change my definition to create a network surface without corners

Are there any other questions I should be asking?
