creating and aligning minimum bounding boxes

i have a set of closed curves and want to generate the minimal bounding boxes seperately for each curve.
for this task i use thomas anagnostou´s "MinBoundBox3d" rvb-script.
as the resulting bounding box (and the geometry it is based on) are not aligned to the world ucs, i perform this manually on each group of objects (the curve and the corresponding bb). this is quite time consuming.

i would like to use grasshopper to streamline this, but the grasshopper bounding box component only solves world oriented geometry bounding boxes. also the rvb-script is not supported by grasshopper, so i have no idea how to start.

does someone have an idea, if and how grasshopper could do this?
