Creating a frame and object in the frame on weaverbird

I am trying to create a frame from a cylindrical tower block that is split into 5 slices, within the frame I want to show the block for each slice that will fit inside. I cant seem to figure this out as I can get it to work on a simple box but not on a 3D slice.
