Create ripple effect out of elipse curves?

Hello everyone,

Im currently trying to generate a ripple effect (as the water waves) starting off from the curves of half ellipses, thing is the axis of the crest is supposed to be maintained, as the picture shows.

I have uploaded the definition and internalized the geometry for anyone that wants to give it a try.
