create mesh...reverse engineering

Hello,

sorry for asking such easy question...

I've looked through the forum for a solution, but majority of the answer does not show how the initial mesh was created.

Basically, i'm trying to create a mesh input for reverse engineering a Softlab project. From what i have done, the lofting is not happening to the initial gridcell? and is it possible to make the pattern more random?  

The reason for wanting to have a mesh creates out of grasshopper instead of rhino is for future alterations, which may allow me to create iterations and be more flexible for future designs.
